The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000, which will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
 
Job Summary:
 
The Manufacturing Engineering Specialist (afternoon shift) is responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards across a multi shift operation. This role involves recommending and implementing improvements to production processes, methods, and controls, and coordinating manufacturing launches for new or revised products.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and test manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment.
  • Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results.
  • Conduct research and development of new manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and production efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Qualifications:
  • College/University level education in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or 5 years of experience in related field.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and production equipment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Lean/Six Sigma training is a plus
